The last year and a half has been a whirlwind. Going from VMware, then to PernixData, and finally over to HyTrust. I’ve been so busy in my new role that I actually forgot that a whole year has gone by. October 1, had marked my 1 year anniversary at HyTrust. I get to work with some pretty talented and motivated individuals that are always looking to improve our offerings and I’m excited for what the future holds for us.
So what do I do at HyTrust? I wear a few hats, but my official HR title is National Strategic Solutions Architect. I love the dynamic nature of my role. Mainly, I focus on managing and working with our largest strategic partners with our Business Development team. I also work the tech marketing events where I help to spread our vision, strategy and help educate customers and partners about our solutions. What’s great about my role, is that I get to work with many of my former colleagues from VMware. Many of whom I’ve known for a quite some time now. We’ve done so much collaborative work together, that at times it feels like I’m still there. More on why we do so much with VMware in another blog post later.
Recently, we’ve expanded our portfolio. Back in July, we acquired a company named DataGravity and has now been rebranded as CloudAdvisor. I’ll be blogging about what this means for us at HyTrust and why this will be invaluable to any organization looking to prioritize securing their data, both on-premises and in their cloud environments.
